Corrin Gets a Little Superstitious

I recently learned of a New Year's Eve superstition I has never heard of before and I am excited to share it with all of you!

Apparently, wearing a new clothing item on New Year's Eve is supposed to usher in a year of financial prosperity. It is said that you will be able to afford new things through out the New Year if you follow this tradition! I'm not superstitious but it's always fun to take part in fun fashion traditions...am I right or am I right?! :P

P.S. don't forget to make sure your lips are ready for that midnight kiss! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here's a kiss from me to you xoxo

Corrin Gets A Little Punk

Recently I have been really fascinated by 'punk rock' fashion. The rockers look so raw and honest with their fashion. It's like their jackets say "This is me. Take it or leave it."

I walked into a party and was surrounded by people of all ages wearing studded leather jackets. Each jacket was different; some had been painted, patched, written on, buttoned... You name it! After asking a few people if they could help me make a jacket that was similar I found out you are supposed to stud your own jacket (they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked them to stud one for me) for them it was a "rite of passage".

What an awesome way to express your views, beliefs, and loves! Stud away my little treasures!

Corrin Gets a Little Frou-Frou

I have been into little Frou-Frou scarves and flowing tops lately. I am in love with sheer fabrics, they are so feminine and they make me feel beautiful! You can take a risk (if you feel comfortable that is...) and pair a sheer top with a bandeau and a skirt or jeans with a similar hue as the bandeau, it will accent your waist! (never a bad thing, ladies!) you could even wear the combat boots mentioned in my last post with an ensemble like this one...

Corrin gets a Little Combat-ish

Fashion is a funny thing. In the eyes of some people it defines you. Others may view it as materialistic nonsense for consumers. To me, Fashion is a beautiful expression of the heart, soul, and mind. A little bit about me: As you may have guessed my name is Corrin. (Everyone: Hi Corrin.) I'm a fashion-aholic. I don't plan on recovering either. (har dee har har...) I am also a fan of cheesy jokes. I love Elvis, classic beauties, CoCo Chanel and most of all I love Jesus! For my first post I thought I would talk about a fashion staple I added to my closet a little over 2 months ago. Combat Boots. Why do I love combat-style boots? They can add a little grunge to a dress or add flair to a blazer/skinny jeans combo. They basically go with everything and make me look like a bad a** with little to no effort.
